Adding Custom Routes to the WordPress Rest API

In his recent post over at Torque, Josh Pollock (who you might remember from his recent post on Hacking the WordPress Template Hierarchy) explains the basics of how to use custom routes while working with the WordPress Rest API. His examples include a custom route with two endpoints which shows information about products on a site powered by Easy Digital Downloads, and a second route which is wrapped around a custom post type and used for documentation.
